Let’s think of signing up for Emerson.build as walking into a fully stocked kitchen and pantry. If you want to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, you have a lot of options on how to do that. Most likely you’ll approach your sandwich-making from one of two angles:
- Putting together pre-sliced bread with toppings from jars.
- Baking bread from scratch and making your own nut butter and jelly before assembling the sandwich.
Both approaches will get you to the end goal of a sandwich, but approach 2 requires a lot more work to get there.
The same two approaches exist for making a website with your .build account. In website terms, approach 1 is installing a web application and approach 2 is working with HTML code and/or other scripting languages.
The following are interactive tutorials on both of these methods of web building. They’re meant to be completed while you work within your own domain, so be sure to register for Emerson.build first!
